Greenwood Acres (Blakeslee (Tobyhanna Twp) PA, 18610 and Pocono Lake (Tobyhanna Twp), PA 18347) Greenwood Acres and Camelot Forest Conservation Association are two communities on the western end of Tobyhanna Township that present nice options for short-term rentals.  These are small communities along Route 940 near the intersection of Route 115 which have modest amenities for the residents and their guests.  Both are served by a central sewer system and both have a long established tradition of supporting vacation homes and vacation rentals.  They are close to Jack Frost for skiing and golf, Split Rock for golf and the resort amenities and Lake Harmony for entertainment.  Both are minutes off the Blakeslee exit of I-80, so very easy to get in and out of. 

Greenwood Acres includes the community’s own Sinca Lake as the main amenity and there are several dozen short-term rentals operating.  Greenwood Acres is not gated and is a mostly residential community of about 300 homes.  The STRs here do seem to highlight proximity to attractions as one of their key features.  Many of the homes here are of a suburban style architecture, center door colonials with attached garages sitting on half acre plots with streets on a rectangular grid.  These came during a building boom in the early 2000’s, but the community dates back to the 1960’s.   Median sale price in 2025 in Greenwood Acres is $420K.

Camelot Forest (Pocono Lake (Tobyhanna Township), PA 18347)
 is a similar sized community that seems a bit more oriented to vacation homes with more rustic designs and in a more wooded setting with some winding streets and a couple of small lakes in the community.  Amenities are modest, which is common for small communities.  Like Greenwood Acres, Camelot Forest is served by a public central sewer system.  Approximately 40% of the homes in Camelot Forest are owner occupied full-time, the remaining 60% are likely used as vacation homes, seasonal rentals, or investment properties.  Median sale price in 2025 in Camelot Forest is $525K.
