After some protracted legal battles between the full-time residents and vacation home owners in the early 2020’s, things have settled down and operating a STR in Bear Creek Lakes can be done with a license from the township, guests are to be registered with the community and a guest fee paid to help cover the community costs.
Bear Creek Lakes has a pool complex with sports courts and a nice lake with several access points. It is close to the touristy town of Jim Thorpe which has sightseeing, including a scenic train ride and adventure with activities tied to the Lehigh River and the D&L Trail.
